Deadline 1 In light of the impending tax deadline, Oct. 15th, I find it amazing how my clients, staff, and I are able to finish the amount of work needed to prepare the client’s income tax returns in such a short time. But that's the magic of a deadline. A deadline gives you that extra push to get the job done.

As I was thinking about this week’s blog and what I should advise my readers, it hit me:  Give yourself a deadline. I do this constantly. Aside from the government-imposed deadlines, I assign myself deadlines for launching products, mailing out sales letters, and analyzing sales. This works as long as you take it seriously.

Marketing thrives on deadlines! Since marketing has a creative aspect to it, you can constantly modify and scrap ideas and never get anything to your customers. That is simply counterproductive. By never setting a deadline, you are giving yourself an eternity to do a task that can bring in more customers and revenue!

So mark your calendar and give yourself that push to expand your business!
