Creative-thinking A few months ago, I had a meeting with a client and we happened to start talking about how they wanted to start advertising.  As I was mentioning different types of advertising and things he would want to consider.  As I am mentioning different ideas, he starts shooting down every single one of them.  The business owner keeps on telling me “I never use that” or “I don’t watch that station.”

Sometimes business owner can’t take their personal tastes, views and/or lifestyles out of their business decisions. When it comes to marketing it is all about your customers. What do they watch? What are their values? What do they want to hear?

If you happen to be a part of your target market your opinions and shopping habits should be taken into account. If you’re not, educate yourself on your customers and base your marketing decisions off of their shopping habits.
